A Courtyard  is the centre piece of most homes and commercial establishments. Courtyards  are basically within a building or attached to a building or in any space within the property. It can be on the sides, centre or even in the backyard of a building. It is located in the ground floor. Usually covered by tall walls in three or all four sides with doors opening to the courtyard but it must be open to sky. With space getting expensive by the day, a 8’x6’ of minimum space can include a courtyard in your house or office provided it follows it’s open to sky  characteristic – and herein lies it’s source of beauty and uniqueness!

A courtyard  can reflect a style you connect with like - Indian, Moroccan, Japanese, Country, Meditative and so on.

Some ideas for a beautiful courtyard  as your space permits that you can think to include are - a sitting with table, fountain, sculpture/s, plants, a temple, lamps, a walkway, decor articles of birds and butterflies, animals, provision for diffuser, a chess board or other board games like Chinese checker etc, a concealed cabinet for storage, hammock, a bar, barbeque and grills corner, a dance floor, a meditation zone, a concealed speakers set up for a flow of calm to peppy musical score.
